Veekee James Defends Frequent Public Appearances With Husband

Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James has defended her decision to attend public events with her husband, Femi Atere, after a social media user questioned why he is always seen by her side.

In a video shared on her social media page, Veekee responded to a troll who claimed her husband appeared to have “no life of his own” because he frequently accompanied her to events.

Rejecting the criticism, the entrepreneur said marriage is about sharing life together, explaining that she and her husband have chosen to build their lives as one.

She stated that neither of them lives independently of the other, describing their relationship as inseparable.

According to Veekee, those criticising their bond do not fully understand the meaning of marriage, insisting that everything they do is shared as a couple.

She maintained that married partners should live life together rather than separately and stressed that public opinion would not influence their relationship.

The designer also made it clear that she and her husband would continue attending events together despite the criticism, saying people should expect to keep seeing them side by side.

She ended the video on a light-hearted note, playfully referring to her husband as her “personal handbag” while sharing clips of the couple together.
