The Independent National Electoral Commission has presented the Certificate of Return to Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, following his victory in the August 15 governorship election.
Adeleke was seen singing and dancing during the presentation ceremony, celebrating his re-election for a second term.
The Special Assistant on Digital Media to the governor, Olalekan Badmus, disclosed the development in a post on X on Wednesday.
The presentation formally affirmed Adeleke’s victory after he was declared winner of the election by INEC on Sunday.
The incumbent governor, who contested the election on the platform of the Accord Party, won 19 of the state’s 30 local government areas.
His closest challenger, the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, won in the remaining 11 local government areas.
Following his re-election, Adeleke assured residents of Osun State that he would not disappoint them, promising to consolidate his achievements while addressing areas where his administration fell short.
