VIDEO: FAKE POLICE OFFICER ARRESTED IN LAGOS AFTER RESIDENTS EXPOSE DECEPTION

A 22-year-old man, identified as Onipede Tajudeen Ojo, has been arrested in Lagos after allegedly attempting to impersonate a police officer using a stolen police camouflage uniform.
According to reports, the suspect was seen moving around Lagos dressed in a police uniform and carrying a warrant card as well as an ATM card allegedly stolen from a police officer’s bag.
His attempt to conceal his identity was, however, foiled when vigilant residents noticed inconsistencies in his conduct and appearance. The residents questioned him, leading to the discovery that he was not a legitimate police officer.
The suspect has since been taken into custody, while investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Authorities commended members of the public for reporting the suspect rather than resorting to jungle justice, reiterating that all suspects should be handed over to law enforcement agencies for proper investigation and prosecution.
Residents have also been urged to remain vigilant and continue reporting suspicious activities as part of efforts to enhance public safety and security.
