Popular Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has explained why she no longer attends physical church services.
Speaking in a Snapchat video on Sunday, the actress revealed that she lost interest in going to church because the focus often shifts to her instead of the service itself.
She noted that people tend to take photos of her during services, making it difficult to worship without distraction, and said she now participates in church activities online instead.
“Anytime I go to church, I am always the one they take pictures of. So I will join online,” she said.
Recall that in 2022, Akindele publicly identified with the Celestial Church of Christ, stating that she previously attended services there discreetly at night whenever she faced challenges but later chose to openly associate with the church.
