SUDAN CRISIS: SECOND BATCH OF EVACUEES ARRIVE IN ABUJA

The second batch of returnees from Sudan have arrived at the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport, Abuja on Friday, after fleeing from the crisis in sudan.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, while speaking with the press mentioned that arrangements have been nade to bring others back safely.

The first batch of 270 Nigerians, comprising mostly students had arrived in Abuja at 11:30 p.m., on Wednesday.

The Federal Government had deployed a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and Air Peace planes to airlift Nigerians from Egypt after they fled Sudan following the outbreak of fighting between two military units loyal to the countryā€™s top commanders.
