AWARD-WINNING NOLLYWOOD PRODUCTION DESIGNER, PAT NEBO IS DEAD

Pat Nebo, a renowned production designer and art director from Nigeria, has passed away.
A member of the African Movie Academy Awards jury and a movie journalist claim that Shaibu Husseini, a multiple award winner whose work includes some of the best Nollywood productions, passed away on September 14 after a long illness that had rendered him bedridden.
Nebo, who has also received credit for set design over the course of a career spanning more than 30 years, oversaw the production design for films such as Kunle Afolayan’s Figurine and October 1; Izu Ojukwu’s ’76, which earned him an African Movie Academy Award in 2017; The Milkmaid, which was nominated for an Oscar; and many others.
He is praised in particular for his near-perfect ability to produce vintage setups and retros.
