JUST IN: TUC, NLC SUSPEND NATIONWIDE STRIKE
The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union CONGRESS (TUC), on Wednesday night, resolved to suspend their ongoing indefinite nationwide strike.
The Labour unions said the suspension followed the intervention of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu.
Both Labour Centres had earlier directed their members and affiliate groups to commence an indefinite nationwide strike on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 over the brutalisation of the NLC President, Joe Ajaero, allegedly by Policemen in Owerri, Imo State, on November 1.
