TINUBU CHAIRS FEC MEETING

President Bola Tinubu is presently overseeing the Federal Executive Council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The assembly is occurring in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Also in attendance at the current meeting are Vice President Kashim Shettima; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack; the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; and the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
Additionally, the majority of the cabinet ministers are participating in the meeting.

During the assembly, Akume informed the council members of the passing of Chief Audu Ogbeh.
Ogbeh, who passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the age of 78, previously served as the National Chairman of the primary opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and held the position of Minister of Agriculture during the tenure of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.
Subsequently, the Council held a moment of silence to honor the spirit of the deceased elder statesman, whom Akume referred to as a patriot.
