The Lagos State Security Trust Fund has introduced dedicated security tip lines to enable residents report security concerns confidentially through videos, pictures and text messages.

The initiative, announced by the Lagos State Government through the LSSTF, is aimed at strengthening intelligence gathering and improving public participation in addressing evolving security challenges across the state.

According to the agency, the newly introduced Security Tip Lines are strictly messaging-only platforms designed to allow residents share credible security information with relevant authorities for prompt action.

The designated numbers are: 0911 019 5555, 0916 201 1179

The LSSTF explained that the platform was created to encourage the flow of actionable intelligence between residents and government agencies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Authorities said the platform would enable members of the public to submit information, photographs and video recordings relating to suspicious activities or security threats within their communities.

The initiative is also expected to improve situational awareness and support informed decision-making by security agencies through the use of technology and citizen participation.

Speaking on the development, the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Secretary of the LSSTF, Ayo Ogunsan, stressed the importance of public collaboration in maintaining security.

According to him, security agencies perform more effectively when supported with credible and timely information from citizens.

“It’s just video messages and pictures to serve as evidence. When we get the information, we filter them out and send to appropriate agencies for immediate actions,” Ogunsan said.

“This intervention is for members of the public who are trying to reach out to security agencies but don’t know how to do so,” he added.

The Lagos State Government reiterated its commitment to improving public safety through technology-driven initiatives and stronger collaboration between residents and security agencies.
