RIVERS LG ELECTION: APC KICKS OFF CAMPAIGN

The All Progressives Congress campaign kickoff for the upcoming August 30 local government elections in Rivers State will commence imminently.
The event is anticipated to include the distribution of party flags to candidates who were selected during the primary election held by the party last Saturday.
The media conveys that the Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Rumuola, in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state, is bustling with activity, as party leaders and supporters are observed carrying flags and other party emblems.
The chairperson of the party, Chief Tony Okocha, arrived early alongside members of the state executive for the occasion and received a warm ovation.
Among the candidates observed at the rally by our correspondent at 11 am were Confidence Deko (Gokana LGA), Dr. Chidi Lloyd (Emuoha), Allwell Ihunda (Port Harcourt City LGA), and Vincent Nemienoka (Ogu/Bolo LGA), among others.
