TROOPS KILL 11 BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS IN BORNO AND ADAMAWA

Soldiers of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have eliminated 11 Boko Haram/ISWAP militants in distinct operations throughout Borno and Adamawa states.
A reliable military source revealed on Tuesday that eight militants were neutralized in an ambush in the Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, while three others were dispatched during an operation in Umbo village, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
As per the source, the initial confrontation transpired on September 15, 2025, when forces from Sector 3, conducting a surveillance and patrol mission along the Baga–Cross Kauwa Main Supply Route, were subjected to an attack. The militants detonated an improvised explosive device and opened fire; however, the soldiers effectively repelled the assault with superior firepower, resulting in the deaths of eight insurgents, including two identified leaders.

Recovered items comprised 14 motorcycles, AK-47 rifles with magazines, rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, anti-aircraft links, blankets, and assorted medications. Two gun trucks, unable to be retrieved due to terrain limitations, were destroyed by the Air Component of OPHK, which also eliminated additional insurgents with support from the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) ISR platform. No personnel casualties were reported among the troops.
In an independent operation on the same day, forces from Sector 1, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, executed an offensive in Umbo, Madagali LGA of Adamawa State, resulting in the elimination of three insurgents and the recovery of AK-47 rifles, numerous rounds of ammunition, and a mobile phone. Once again, no casualties were reported on the part of the troops.
The military high command praised the soldiers for their dedication and encouraged residents to continue aiding counter-terrorism endeavors by providing timely and credible information.
