As part of the weeklong activities marking her second term’s 100 days in office, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi–Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada (MNIM), on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, commissioned Adetuberu Street, Isaac Omole Street, and Temitayo Obisanya Street in Olowora.
Speaking at the event, Princess Bada said the commissioning went beyond ribbon-cutting, describing it as a step toward “connecting lives, opening access, and unlocking opportunities.”

She highlighted Adetuberu Street, the longest in Olowora, as a vital economic corridor for traders, transporters, artisans, and families. Isaac Omole and Temitayo Obisanya Streets, she added, now serve as crucial links to major access routes, easing traffic congestion and improving mobility.

Princess Bada emphasized that Olowora was deliberately prioritized, describing the community as “hardworking, progressive, and full of potential.”
She added, “When people can move easily, goods can move freely, and prosperity can flow naturally. That is what today’s commissioning stands for: access that drives growth and governance that touches lives.”

Aligning the project with national and state initiatives, Princess Bada said it complements President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus vision, emphasizing infrastructure as a catalyst for economic development and inclusive growth.
She also urged residents to take ownership of the roads to ensure their longevity.
Princess Bada concluded by appreciating contractors, engineers, and community leaders, describing the achievement as a demonstration of “what we can achieve when purpose meets partnership”.

On her part, Chief Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, Former Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, praised Princess Bada for her leadership, empowerment of women, and commitment to grassroots governance.
She said, “Samiat is a good example of a woman who empowers. She has never let us down. The first time I came to commission a project here, it was equally a road commissioning, and I discovered that Samiat has transformed Ikosi-Isheri — it seems as if there is no untarred road anywhere.”

Chief Arobieke added, “We discover she’s representing womanhood very well, grassroots governance very well, and as far as APC is concerned, we are not ready to say no to a willing one, like Samiat Bada. You’ve meant so much to this area, to the party, and to womanhood,” she concluded.
Residents of Olowora expressed appreciation to the chairman for fulfilling her promise to the community, describing the new roads as a relief that would boost economic activity and improve daily life.

The event was attended by community stakeholders, government officials, political leaders, and residents, marking another milestone in the council’s weeklong 100 Days-in-Office celebration.
