Nollywood actress, Uche Montana, has denied allegations linking her to the supply of hard drugs to fellow actress, Regina Daniels.

The allegations surfaced after Regina’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, claimed that some of her close associates were sabotaging her alleged rehabilitation by providing her with illicit substances.

In a recent social media post, Nwoko alleged that he spent millions of naira supporting his wife’s recovery efforts but was frustrated by those he described as “enablers,” including some of her friends, who allegedly brought her the same substances she was being treated for.

However, Uche Montana, in a swift reaction, refuted the claims and distanced herself from the controversy. The actress said she had no involvement in any form of drug-related activity, stressing that the allegations were entirely baseless.

“I have no involvement or connection to the claims being made. It’s sad that people throw around such damaging accusations without evidence,” Montana said.

The actress, who described the allegation as a smear campaign, called for proper investigation and urged the public to disregard false narratives being circulated online.

The controversy has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with fans of both actresses demanding evidence to substantiate the claims. Some have also cautioned against dragging personal matters into the public space without proof.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Regina Daniels nor Senator Ned Nwoko has issued further clarification on the matter, while no law enforcement agency has confirmed launching an investigation into the allegations.

Industry observers have called for restraint, urging stakeholders to allow due process and avoid spreading unverified information that could tarnish reputations.
