JUST IN: SANWO-OLU APPROVES 20% SALARY INCREMENT FOR CIVIL SERVANTS
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved a 20 percent increase in the salaries of Civil servants in Lagos State.
This announcement was made known in a statement signed by the Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola on Monday.
Recall that sometime in October 2022, Sanwo-olu had announced a surprise salary increment package for civil servants in the state when he met with them at the State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State.
While addressing the workers, the Governor said that he understands the high inflation in the country at the time which might be affecting the purchasing power of workers also adding that the state will not wait for the Federal government before it improves the well-being of its workers.
