POLICE PARADE CAR SNATCHERS
The FCT command of the Nigerian Police has paraded five men who allegedly specialize in car snatching within the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The men which police has been trailing since last year were nabbed with different assorted cars and arms.
Ironically, the gang was led by a medical doctors who runs a hospital in Kubwa area of Abuja.
The five young, able bodied men, with age ranging from 23 to 33 years. Police says have chosen to take robbing their fellow men as their profession. The FCT command of the Nigeria Police explains that the gang operates by blaring the horn of a car at the gate of the house they intend to rob. This will make the gateman open door thinking ita an important visitor or family member.
They would drive in, demobilize the security and rob the house of cars and other valuables. They have been operating within the Abuja metropolis since 2016.
Recovered from the gang were cars, jewelries, charms and other valuables while man-haunt is still on to track the medical doctor who was their gang leader.
There have been an increase in the rate of car snatching in Abuja in recent time, and the police has advised residents of the city to be security conscious in their lifestyle.
