STATE GOVT ANNOUNCES EARLY OFFICE CLOSURE FOR OYO AT 50 CELEBRATION

The Oyo State Government has announced that all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) will close early to allow public servants to take part in the grand finale of activities celebrating the state’s 50th anniversary.

The directive, signed on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Musibau Adetunji Babatunde, states that all state offices will close by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

According to the statement, heads of MDAs are required to ensure full compliance and make arrangements for skeletal services in essential departments where necessary.

Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde approved the early closure as part of preparations for the golden jubilee celebration, themed Oyo at 50.

Prof. Babatunde also called for wide dissemination of the announcement to ensure that all public officers and the general public are informed of the directive.
