SENATOR MUSTAPHA REACTS TO DEADLY TERRORIST ATTACK IN KWARA

Kwara Central Senator, Saliu Mustapha, has strongly condemned the recent violent attacks on Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.

According to the media, terrorists stormed the communities on Tuesday evening, killing soldiers and forest guards. The death toll rose to 40 by Wednesday.

In a statement, Senator Mustapha expressed deep sadness upon receiving reports of the attacks on innocent citizens, describing the incidents as senseless and tragic. He emphasized that the violence highlights the urgent need for unity, vigilance, and enhanced community cooperation to combat insecurity.

The lawmaker urged residents of the affected areas, as well as the broader state, to remain calm, support security agencies, and report any suspicious activities promptly to help protect their communities.

“On behalf of the people of Kwara Central Senatorial District, I strongly condemn these attacks and extend my heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Kaiama, Alhaji Mu’azu Omar (Bagidi Kiyaru IV), the families of the victims, and everyone affected,” he stated.
