The Adamawa State Police Command has recovered a suspected stolen vehicle — a Toyota Carina E — in Yola and is appealing to the rightful owner to present proof of ownership.
In a statement released on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Yahaya, and shared on the command’s official Facebook page, the vehicle was identified as a Toyota Carina E produced by Toyota Motor Corporation, with registration number GAM-155-AA.
According to the police, the car was found about three days ago at a Kuda Construction Company site within the State Secretariat in Yola.
Acting on a report received on February 28, 2026, officers visited the location, confirmed the vehicle’s details and moved it to the Dougirie Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation.
The command has urged anyone who can establish ownership of the vehicle to visit the Dougirie Police Station with valid documentation to facilitate its release.
