BRODA SHAGGI HOSPITALISED AFTER ALLEGED SHOOTING IN OGUN STATE

Popular comedian, skit maker, and social media influencer Samuel Perry has been hospitalised after reportedly sustaining a gunshot injury under the Sango-Ota bridge in Ogun State on Sunday afternoon.
A police source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Broda Shaggi was filming a comedy skit when he was shot. He was immediately rushed to Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos for initial treatment before being referred to Duchess Hospital, Government Residential Area, Ikeja, where he is currently recuperating.
“He was shooting a skit under the Sango-Ota bridge when he sustained a gunshot injury. His crew quickly rushed him to the hospital,” the source said, noting that medical personnel administered first aid upon his arrival.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed that the police were alerted by the hospital and immediately mobilised detectives and a patrol team. She said Broda Shaggi was seen on a stretcher with an injury to his thigh. The incident occurred outside Lagos State jurisdiction, but the investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, Ogun State Police Command stated that the incident had not been reported to their office.
Broda Shaggi’s manager, Olufemi Oguntamu, did not respond to calls or messages seeking comment.
This incident follows similar attacks on content creators, including October 2024’s case where Afeez Ojesanmi, popularly known as Salo, was reportedly robbed and shot around the Lekki area of Lagos State.
