According to him, Governor Ademola Adeleke approved the additional hires to provide more opportunities for qualified unemployed youths to join the teaching profession.
This development now brings the total number of applicants being employed to a total of 1,241, as against the initial 1,000 mark, to give room for more qualified unemployed youths to be absorbed into the teaching profession, thereby improving learning outcomes in our primary and secondary schools across the state.
The breakdown of this figure now stands at 660 for SUBEB, 526 for TESCOM, and 55 for Education Officers,” Jimoh said.
He urged successful candidates to check their names on the lists and proceed with profiling and documentation at SUBEB, TESCOM, or the Civil Service Commission, as applicable.
He urged the newly recruited teachers to contribute to the improvement of the education sector and to maintain professionalism in their teaching roles to ensure better learning outcomes across primary and secondary schools in the state.
