NOLLYWOOD STARS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS JOIN WOMEN’S RALLY ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE

Organisers of the 2026 National Women Mega Empowerment and Rally have announced a star-studded entertainment committee made up of senior government officials and prominent Nollywood figures ahead of the May 5 event in Abuja.

The rally, organised in collaboration with the office of Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim and the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, will take place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium and aims to promote cultural and creative participation.

In a statement shared on Instagram on Sunday, the organisers said the event, themed “The Power of 10 Million: One Voice! One Movement!! One Choice!!!”, is expected to draw millions of women from across Nigeria.

Describing the initiative as more than a form of entertainment, the organisers said it represents a movement celebrating women, promoting culture, and inspiring unity and creativity nationwide.

The entertainment committee is chaired by Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, while Hannatu Musa Musawa, Rachael Umahi, and Ramatu Tijani will serve as co-chairpersons.

Other notable members include Rahama Sadau, Eniola Badmus, General Deaconess Ngozi Okoh, Tola Akerele, Rukkaiya Mohammed, Joke Silva, Aisha Humairah, Toyin Abraham, Funke Akindele, Rashida Maisaa, Halima Oyelade, Funke Adesiyan, Fausat Balogun, Toyin Adegbola, Fati Niger, Remi Oshodi, Esther Nwaogwounuwe Wright, Madam Saje, Toyosi Adesanya, Fathia Balogun, Eniola Ajao, Lanre Hassan, Sola Kosoko, Rose Odika, Samira Ahmed, Teema Makamashi, Fati Karshina, Maryam Bukar (AlhanIslam), Ify Okeke-Ozzuode, Shamsiyya Aminu Garba, Kehinde Peters-Adebisi, and Khadija Yusuf.

According to the organisers, the committee will oversee the planning and coordination of entertainment activities to ensure the programme remains engaging, vibrant, and memorable.

They added that the rally is intended to unite and empower women across the country through a combination of empowerment programmes and cultural expression.
