The Super Falcons are set to face another team qualified for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in a friendly match next month after their planned training tour of the United Kingdom was cancelled.
The team, led by coach Justine Madugu, had initially been scheduled to play Jamaica in a friendly later this month as part of preparations for the 2026 WAFCON.
However, the Jamaican side pulled out of the fixture due to administrative challenges.
Nigeria will now host another AFCON-qualified side in a two-legged friendly during the June 7–14 international window.
The Super Falcons are targeting a record-extending 11th WAFCON title at the tournament in Morocco this July.
They have been drawn in Group C alongside Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt.
The competition is scheduled to take place from July 25 to August 16.
