RIVERS: APC PANEL RATIFIES DISQUALIFICATION OF ASSEMBLY ASPIRANTS ALLEGEDLY LINKED TO FUBARA

The Rivers State All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly Screening Appeal Committee, chaired by Abdul Mahmud, has upheld the disqualification of aspirants allegedly aligned with Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
The MEDIA reports that out of 98 aspirants who took part in the screening exercise on Saturday, 33 were cleared while 65 were disqualified.
The disqualified candidates are reportedly considered loyalists of Governor Fubara.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, the committee chairman said 19 appeals had already been received from some of the affected aspirants.
He added that the window for submitting appeals would close on Wednesday.
According to the committee, the final list of approved aspirants will be released after the appeal process is concluded.
