AKON PRAISES MICHAEL JACKSON, SAYS NIGERIANS ARE THE MOST INTELLIGENT PEOPLE ON EARTH

Senegalese-American singer Akon has spoken about his experience working with the late pop icon Michael Jackson.
In a recent episode of the We Need To Talk podcast, Akon described collaborating with Jackson as the “proudest moment” of his career, adding that he sees himself as “a child” compared to the legendary entertainer.
The Oh Africa crooner said he grew up idolising Jackson and was thrilled to work with someone he regarded as a global inspiration.
“My photo with Michael Jackson is my proudest photo. I was already a full-blown celebrity when it was taken, but I am a child compared to him,” he said, noting that Jackson remains an idol to many.
Akon also reflected on his support for African music, revealing that he has worked with several Nigerian Afrobeats acts, including P-Square and Wizkid. He clarified that Wizkid was signed through Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment, where he had involvement.
He further praised Nigerians, describing them as “the most intelligent people on the planet” and commending their role in the global success of Afrobeats.
