SADIQ UMAR IS NIGERIA’S BEST STRIKER IN EUROPE
#MTNshortz3sixtyworld
On loan Roma forward Sadiq Umar is Nigeria’s most prolific striker in
Europe base on his goal per minute ratio for Dutch side NAC Breda
since his move in January, according to Whoscored.com.
The website did a rating of nine Nigerian strikers in Europe with
their goals per minute played used as determinant to pick the most
prolific among the players listed.
Crotone’s forward Simenon Tochukwu Nwankwo popularly referred to as
Simy is the closet to Sadiq who is on loan to Breda from Italian Serie
A side Roma, and came to the Dutch side after an unhappy loan spell
with Torino.
While Simy has six goals from 914 minutes of games played for Torino
since the start of the season, Sadiq have the same amount but his came
from lesser minutes as he has played just 621 minutes since joining
Breda in January.
However one big omission in the rating done by the portal is Taiwo
Awoniyi who has nine league goals for Mouscron, where he is on loan
from English Premier League side Liverpool.
The list has Orji Okonkwo in third position with 3 goals to his name
from just 203 minutes during the first half of the season at Bologna
before moving to Brescia on loan in January.
