APC CHIEFTAIN JOE IGBOKWE HIGHLIGHTS ‘UNBELIEVABLE’ MISTAKE BY ADELEKE AHEAD OF OSUN POLL

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Joe Igbokwe, has criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke over his decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party for the Accord Party ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
Igbokwe described Adeleke’s defection as an “unbelievable mistake,” arguing that the governor should have joined the APC, especially given President Bola Tinubu’s family ties to Osun State.
The APC chieftain made the remarks in a post on his official Facebook page.
He wrote, “Governor Adeleke made an unbelievable mistake when he left PDP to the Accord Party instead of joining APC knowing fully well that PBAT has a family link with Osun State Nigeria.”
The Media reports that Adeleke is contesting Saturday’s governorship election on the platform of the Accord Party after leaving the PDP.
The governor has also raised concerns over alleged intimidation and harassment of his supporters by agents of the Federal Government.
Adeleke recently alleged that some of his supporters had been arrested and killed in what he described as an attempt to frustrate his bid for re-election.
He also accused some Federal Government agencies of being used to undermine his campaign ahead of the election.
