BREAKING: PDP GRANTS JONATHAN WAIVER FOR PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday cleared former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan through a waiver ahead of the party’s presidential primary election.
The disclosure was made in Abuja by former Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu, a member of the Tanimu Turaki-led PDP National Working Committee Presidential and Gubernatorial Screening Committee, shortly after the screening exercise.
A PDP faction aligned with Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde had earlier announced that Jonathan would participate in the screening as a presidential aspirant.
However, the former president, who was expected to submit his nomination form on Monday ahead of the screening, reportedly did not appear.
