Suspected thugs have attacked supporters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) during a campaign rally in Delta State.
The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday while party supporters were gathered at the rally venue.
The attackers allegedly disrupted the gathering and damaged a vehicle parked near the venue.
Video footage of the incident, which has since gone viral, showed people fleeing in different directions to escape the attack.
Some supporters reportedly sustained injuries during the chaos, while others allegedly lost their mobile phones and personal belongings as they scrambled to safety.
In the video, a voice was heard condemning the incident, saying: “We came here to campaign in peace. We did not come to fight anybody. What happened today is not good for democracy.”
