COURT JAILS MAN TO 30 DAYS COMMUNITY SERVICE OVER INTERNET FRAUD IN LAGOS

Justice Dehinde Dipeolu of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, convicted and sentenced an internet fraudster, Alege Abdul-Lateef, to 30 days community service. Alege was arraigned on a one-count charge bordering on fraudulently impersonating foreign nationals by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
