DAVIDO SPEAKS ON TINUBU’S PHONE CALL WITH GOV ADELEKE

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that he was present when President Bola Tinubu spoke with Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on the phone.
Earlier, the media reported that President Tinubu held a telephone conversation with Governor Adeleke, who is also the Accord Party’s candidate in the August 15, 2026, Osun State governorship election.
During the call, the President informed the governor that he had directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to immediately reverse its decision to freeze the Osun State Government’s accounts.

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed details of the conversation in a post on his verified X account on Thursday.
Reacting to Onanuga’s post, Davido wrote: “I was there live! I witnessed history.”
Davido, who is Governor Adeleke’s nephew, has previously declared that no one could defeat him in a free and fair election in Nigeria if he ever decides to contest for political office.
