DSS OBTAINS DEATH SENTENCE FOR SUSPECT IN SOKOTO KIDNAP, MURDER CASE

The Department of State Services (DSS) has obtained a death sentence for Ibrahim Usman, also known as Dan Iyali, for his role in the kidnapping and murder of three people in Sokoto State in September 2023.
Usman was charged with four counts in the High Court of Justice of Sokoto State, which is located in the Sokoto Judicial Division.
He was tried alongside other suspects who are still at large.
The charges included criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, homicide that can result in the death penalty, and intentionally causing serious harm without any reason.
