Eagles Stars; Uzoho, Omeruo Benched In Sunday’s Spanish Clubs’ Games
Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, was an unused substitute in Elche’s 1-1 draw at home to ten man RCD Mallorca in a Spanish Segunda clash on Sunday.
Jose Juan was preferred to the 19 year old Nigeria international who made his debut for Elche in a Copa Del Rey win against Granada last Wednesday.
Abdon Pratts gave the visitors, RCD Mallorca, the lead in the 38th minute of the encounter but parity was restored eight minute after the restart through Sory Kaba.
Pratt was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 80th minute.
Elche are 19th in the Segunda division table.
Uzoho is currently on a season loan from Deportivo La Coruna.
At the Estadio Municipal de Butarque in Leganes Kenneth Omeruo was also an unused substitute for Leganes who lost 1-0 at home to CF Villarreal.
Substitute, Carlos Bacca scored a brilliant header to hand CF Villarreal a crucial win away from home.
The 24 year old Nigerian defender is yet to make his debut for Leganes since he joined on a season loan deal from Chelsea in the summer.
Leganes remain bottom in the Spanish La Liga table with just one point from four games.
