EKITI: OYEBANJI RESUMES DUTIES WITH RENEWED VIGOUR AFTER LEAVE

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, will resume official duties on Monday after completing his two-week annual leave.
The governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Olayinka Oyebode, disclosed this in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Sunday.
Oyebode said the leave was part of the governor’s statutory annual leave entitlement.
He, however, noted that Oyebanji remained engaged with key matters concerning the administration and governance of the state throughout the period.
“The governor is resuming with renewed vigour as preparations for the commencement of his second-term administration gather momentum,” Oyebode said.
Oyebanji’s first term is scheduled to end on October 15, following his victory in the June 20 Ekiti State governorship election.
The governor, who contested under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, defeated his opponents in all 16 local government areas of the state.
His victory made him the first sitting governor of Ekiti State to secure a second term in office.
Following his re-election, Oyebanji pledged to consolidate the achievements of his administration, strengthen the implementation of people-oriented policies and continue to serve the people with integrity and humility.
His second term is expected to commence on October 16.
