GOV ADELEKE’S RE-ELECTION: A LOOK AT OSUN RESIDENTS’ REACTIONS IN PICTURES

Celebrations have continued across Osun State following the declaration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the August 15 governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.
Adeleke secured 511,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes. Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) came third with 17,180 votes.
The celebrations were particularly pronounced in Osogbo, the state capital, and Ede, Adeleke’s hometown, as supporters took to the streets singing, dancing, and chanting in jubilation over his re-election.
