Ivy Ifeoma, wife of Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, has stirred reactions online after sharing her thoughts on relationships, wealth, and financial independence.
In a video posted on her TikTok page, Ifeoma advised young women not to make marrying a wealthy man their life ambition, stressing the importance of personal financial growth.
She noted that while marrying into wealth can bring opportunities, women should prioritise building their own financial stability and independence.
Addressing speculation about her marriage, particularly claims linked to the age gap between her and the singer, she stated that she was already financially successful before meeting him.
According to her, “I was a millionaire before I met this man [Paul Okoye]. Marrying a rich man should not be anybody’s primary goal. At the end of the day, it is their money, not yours.”
She added that although marrying wealthy can be beneficial, it should not replace personal ambition, encouraging women to focus on self-development, as successful and driven individuals tend to attract like-minded partners.
