JIGAWA GOVT SUSPENDS FIVE AUYO LG POLITICAL APPOINTEES

The Jigawa State Government has suspended five political appointees serving in Auyo Local Government Council with immediate effect.

The affected officials comprise two supervisory councillors and three special advisers to the council chairman. The suspension was announced in a statement issued by the Ministry for Local Government and Community Development through its Public Relations Officer, Najib Umar.

Those suspended are Bala Energy and Abdullahi Usman, both supervisory councillors, as well as Afake Auyo, Ussaini Biyuta Kataudi and Kande Auyo, who serve as special advisers.

Although the government did not disclose the reason for the action, it directed the affected officials to immediately hand over all government property and official responsibilities in their possession to the Director of Administration and General Services of the local government council.

The ministry stressed that the directive takes immediate effect and must be complied with without delay.
