ISAAC FAYOSE BERATES ELDER BROTHER OVER OYO KIDNAPPING COMMENTS, SAYS ‘RELEVANCE ISN’T BY FORCE’

Isaac Fayose has publicly criticised his elder brother, Ayo Fayose, over remarks linking the recent abduction of schoolchildren in Oyo State to Governor Seyi Makinde.

The former Ekiti governor had alleged during a television interview that Makinde could have prevented the kidnapping of about 42 students and teachers, claiming the governor was using the security situation to target the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The comments sparked widespread criticism online, with many social media users accusing Fayose of defending the federal government despite growing insecurity in parts of the country.

Responding in a video shared on Facebook, Isaac Fayose said he was embarrassed by his brother’s remarks, arguing that the former governor was seeking political relevance by aligning with the ruling party.

He questioned why similar criticism was not directed at governors in states facing security challenges, including Ekiti, and urged his brother to refrain from making controversial statements if he had nothing constructive to contribute.

“It is not by force to be relevant,” Isaac Fayose said, while expressing concern over what he described as his brother’s recent public posture.
