Nigerian filling stations have lowered petrol pump prices across their outlets following recent price reductions by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and Dangote Refinery.

Checks by The media on Tuesday revealed that Mobil, NIPCO, AP Ardova, and Eterna filling stations in Abuja have reduced their pump prices to between N1,280 and N1,296 per litre, down from previous rates of N1,370 to N1,390.

This reflects a price drop of between N90 and N94 per litre at retail outlets.

This development comes less than 24 hours after The media reported that NNPCL reduced its petrol price to N1,295 per litre from N1,361.

Recall that last Friday, Dangote Refinery announced a reduction in its gantry price by N85 to N1,200 per litre, following at least five price increases in March 2026 driven by crude oil volatility linked to tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel in the Middle East.
