Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas and High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, have called for support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for re-election in the 2027 presidential election.
The call was made during the launch of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement’s grassroots mobilisation campaign in Jalingo, Taraba State
Tompolo, who serves as the Grand Patron of the movement, was represented at the event by High Chief Kestin Pondi.
He said the reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration required sufficient time to consolidate and yield their expected benefits, urging members of the movement to intensify their mobilisation efforts across communities.
According to him, supporters should take the campaign to homes, religious centres, wards, local government areas and polling units.
“Every policy needs time to consolidate; every policy needs time to show dividends. Every policy reformation will always come with its own challenges,” Tompolo said.
He further stated that Taraba State was benefiting from the policies of the Federal Government, stressing that continuity would help sustain the gains recorded so far.
Speaking at the event, Governor Kefas said residents of Taraba were already witnessing the impact of the Tinubu administration through various Federal Government projects being implemented in the state.
“Taraba is ready. You don’t need to tell the people of Taraba State what the President is doing; they are seeing what the President is doing through me,” Kefas said.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged massive support for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
“I want to assure you that we are going to turn out en masse and give the President 100 percent votes. We are ready for Mr. President,” he added.
The National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, said the group was in Taraba to expand its grassroots mobilisation efforts and canvass support for Tinubu and Governor Kefas.
The event also featured the presentation of 25 campaign vehicles, generators and electronic speakers to support the movement’s grassroots mobilisation activities.
