LAGOS POLICE ARREST FOUR SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS, RECOVER 25 PHONES, LAPTOPS, JEWELLERY

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command’s Violent Crime Response Unit have arrested four suspected members of an armed robbery syndicate allegedly operating around Iju-Ishaga and Oke-Aro areas of the state.
The suspects, identified as Damilare Oluwatobi, 28; Lekan Adenuga, 30; Haruna Sheriff, 22; and David Balogun, 24, were arrested at their hideout in Idi-Oro, Mushin, following sustained intelligence gathering.
According to the command, the operatives recovered 25 mobile phones, two laptop computers, a gold necklace and earrings, as well as three cutlasses during a search of the hideout.
The suspects are currently in police custody and are assisting investigators with the ongoing investigation.
The command said efforts were being intensified to apprehend other suspected members of the syndicate who may be connected to the alleged criminal activities.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, commended the VCRU operatives for what he described as their swift response and intelligence-led investigation that led to the arrests.
Fatai reaffirmed the command’s commitment to dismantling criminal networks across the state and ensuring the safety and security of residents.
