OGUN APC PICKS OSOBA, DANIEL, ABIODUN TO LEAD 2027 CAMPAIGN

Former Ogun State Governor and Ogun East Senator, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, and his successor, former Governor Ibikunle Amosun, have been appointed to key positions in the All Progressives Congress campaign structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to a document signed by the state APC Chairman, Yemi Sanusi, and released to journalists on Tuesday, Governor Dapo Abiodun will serve as Chairman of the APC Campaign Council, while the party’s governorship candidate and Ogun West Senator, Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, will serve as Co-Chairman.
Former Ogun East Senator, Lekan Mustapha, was named Director-General of the campaign council.
Daniel and Amosun were appointed Deputy Grand Patrons, while former governor and APC national leader, Chief Olusegun Osoba, was named Grand Patron of the council.
The 156-member campaign committee also includes Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele and the party’s Deputy Governorship Candidate, Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, who will serve as Deputy Chairmen.
The state APC Chairman, Yemi Sanusi, will serve as Vice Chairman, while the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, and the Minister of State for Health, Kunle Salako, were appointed Vice Director-General, Campaign Operations, and Vice Director-General, Administration, respectively.
The party also unveiled committees responsible for coordinating its campaign and mobilisation activities across Ogun State’s 20 local government areas.
Sanusi said the campaign council comprises party leaders, political stakeholders and other key APC members tasked with grassroots mobilisation, media and publicity, logistics, youth and women engagement, as well as other areas critical to the party’s campaign.
He urged members of the various committees to work together to secure victory for the APC in the 2027 presidential, governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly elections.
The unveiling of the campaign structure marks a major step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 elections as the party intensifies its mobilisation and efforts to consolidate its position across Ogun State.
