POLICE RESCUE 60-YEAR-OLD KIDNAP VICTIM IN DELTA

Operatives of the Agbor Police Division, in collaboration with forest guards and local security personnel, have rescued a 60-year-old man who was abducted in Alisime Village, Delta State.
The victim was rescued unhurt after the security team engaged the suspected kidnappers, who reportedly fled into the bush with possible gunshot injuries.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident in a statement issued in Warri.
Edafe said the operation was carried out on September 4, 2026, at about 6pm, following intelligence received after the earlier report of the man’s abduction.
According to him, operatives of the Agbor Division mobilised to Alisime Village alongside forest guards and local security personnel.
He said the team engaged the kidnappers and successfully rescued the victim without injuries.
“The suspects fled into the bush with suspected gunshot injuries.
“One mobile phone and an ATM card were recovered, while the area was cordoned off and a manhunt for the fleeing suspects is ongoing,” Edafe said.
The police said efforts were ongoing to track down and arrest the fleeing suspects.
