REAL MADRID REVEAL MBAPPE KNEE INJURY, RETURN DATE UNCERTAIN

France captain Kylian Mbappe has suffered a hyperextension of his left knee while on international duty, Real Madrid confirmed on Saturday, although the forward could return to action when La Liga resumes.
Real Madrid said medical tests conducted on Mbappe revealed a hyperextension of the posterior capsule of his left knee.
The 27-year-old forward was forced off shortly after scoring France’s only goal in their 1-0 victory over Turkey on Friday.
New France head coach Zinedine Zidane said the team would not take any risks with Mbappe and confirmed that he would miss France’s three Nations League fixtures scheduled over the next 10 days.
France are set to travel to Belgium on Monday before facing Italy and Belgium at the Stade de France on October 2 and 5 respectively.
Real Madrid’s first match after the international break, against Villarreal on October 10, could come too soon for Mbappe’s return.
However, Spanish newspaper AS reported that the forward is expected to be fit in time for Real Madrid’s El Clasico clash against Barcelona on October 25.
