Real Madrid have announced the signing of Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries, marking the club’s fourth acquisition of the summer transfer window under new manager Jose Mourinho.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Spanish giants confirmed that Dumfries has joined from Inter Milan in a deal reportedly worth around £17.3 million.

The Netherlands international has signed a four-year contract that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until 2030.

Dumfries becomes Mourinho’s fourth signing since taking charge at Real Madrid, following the arrivals of Ibrahima Konate from Liverpool, Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, and Marc Cucurella from Chelsea.

The 30-year-old departs Inter Milan after a successful five-year spell, during which he helped the club win two Serie A titles and three Coppa Italia trophies.
