SUSPECTED THIEVES ATTACK KANO HOSPITAL, KILL SECURITY GUARD, STEAL SOLAR EQUIPMENT

A security guard at a hospital in Danlasan Ward, Warawa Local Government Area of Kano State, Malam Ado Shuaibu Maki, was allegedly killed by suspected thieves who slit his throat before stealing solar equipment from the facility.

The attack occurred on the night of Friday, July 3, 2026.

Confirming the incident in a statement issued on Saturday, July 4, 2026, the Director of Information and Public Enlightenment to the Chairman of Warawa Local Government, Malam Hamza Kinchau, said the assailants killed the security guard by slitting his throat before making away with the hospital’s solar equipment.

Reacting to the incident, the Chairman of Warawa Local Government, Hon. Lamido Sunusi Ahmad, expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and the people of Danlasan Ward.

“We call on security agencies to investigate this heinous crime, apprehend the perpetrators, and bring them to justice,” Ahmad added.
