US FIRM URGES PUBLIC NOT TO BE DISTRACTED BY TINUBU DRUG ALLEGATIONS

A United States-based political advisory and lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, has urged the public not to be distracted by what it described as a “smear campaign” surrounding allegations of drug trafficking involving President Bola Tinubu.
The firm made the call in a statement posted on its verified X handle on Tuesday.
Von Batten-Montague-York claimed that the release of Federal Bureau of Investigation records and court documents relating to Tinubu could trigger renewed attempts to divert public attention from the allegations.
The firm said it had provided access to the FBI and court records concerning the Nigerian President and alleged that Tinubu and his supporters could respond with what it described as smear campaigns.
It also dismissed several claims it said could be made against its principal, Dr Von Batten, including allegations concerning his identity, marriage and purported connection to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
“The world must not allow the Nigerian Presidency to distract the public from the serious allegations concerning President Tinubu. Stay focused,” the statement said.
The firm further alleged that the President was attempting to divert attention from the FBI records and urged the public to remain focused on the documents and allegations.
The allegations contained in the statement remain claims by the firm, and no independent verification of the accusations was provided in the statement.
