A fire outbreak was reported on Friday at the storehouse of Pleasant Event Centre located along Obanta Avenue, off Ajao Road in the Ikeja area of Lagos State.
Initial reports had suggested that the main event centre was affected by the inferno; however, a source familiar with the incident clarified that the fire occurred at the facility’s storehouse, where equipment and materials are kept.
According to the source, the fire was quickly brought under control before it could spread to the main event hall or adjoining structures.
The source further confirmed that no casualties or injuries were recorded during the incident, adding that the swift response helped prevent what could have been a more severe damage situation.
Details surrounding the cause of the fire were yet to be officially disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
Authorities are expected to carry out further assessment to determine the extent of damage and the cause of the outbreak.
