{VIDEO} KWAM 1 HANDS DAUGHTER TO HAMZAT OVER LAGOS ASSEMBLY AMBITION

Fuji artist Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, also known as KWAM 1, made people talk after a video showed him giving his daughter, Damilola Marshall, to Lagos State Deputy Governor and APC governorship candidate, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, at an event.

In the video that’s been shared a lot online, KWAM 1 introduced his daughter, who goes by Dami Marshal, and said, “I hand her over to you.”

Hamzat laughed and told Damilola to sit down, while the lawyer looked amused by the father‘s action.

The clip, which went viral on social media on Sunday, shows KWAM 1 singing in Yoruba as he made the gesture, which seemed like a fun way to support his daughter‘s political goals.

Damilola is seeking election to the Lagos State House of Assembly to represent Surulere Constituency II in the 2027 general elections.

She declared her ambition on March 17, 2026, in a post on her Instagram page, saying she was ready to serve the constituency.

“I am excited to share that I, Barr. Damilola Ayinde Marshal, am stepping forward to serve the good people of Surulere Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly,” she wrote.

The lawyer said her 12 years of legal practice had shaped her understanding of governance, justice and the needs of her community.

She also pledged to represent young people, describing herself as prepared to serve and lead if elected.

Damilola, who is the daughter of the Fuji star, serves as Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism.
