Okay, fine I agree the Nigerian World Cup soccer jersey is truly a spectacle. With a combination of waterfall and car tyre track patterns mixed with a cultural effect one can not but admire the creativity behind it.
It is  important at this point to stress the fact that Nigerian creatives are getting better at their craft as the jersey was designed by a Nigerian creative mind.
A friend of mine recently stressed the fact that we have been ignoring Aba market, the place where most of the products in the Nigerian market are being created. There is a need for us as Nigerians to start embracing that which is ours and try to make the best use of it. Nigeria can never be Europe neither can it ever be USA but it is going to be Naija because of its rich culture and people. We need to appreciate what we have and tap into its capacity to become better. The Nigerian fashion industry has definitely made a strong impression on the fashion world. FIFA recently rated the Nigerian jersey as the best, well good for the boys, we’ve won one, there are still more categories coming and the World Cup itself should be the goal of the boys.
Congrats, Nigerian Super Eagles!!!
