WORLD CUP QUARTER-FINALS TAKE SHAPE AS ARGENTINA JOIN LAST EIGHT

The line-up for the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is almost complete following the conclusion of most Round of 16 fixtures.
France, Morocco, Spain, Belgium, Norway, England and Argentina have all booked their places in the last eight, with the final quarter-final spot to be determined after Tuesday night’s Round of 16 clash between Switzerland and Colombia.
The quarter-final action will begin on Thursday, July 9, with France taking on Morocco, while Spain will face Belgium on Friday, July 10.
On Saturday, July 11, Norway will meet England for a place in the semi-finals, before Argentina take on either Switzerland or Colombia in the final quarter-final on Sunday, July 12.
